The year 2020 was a historic catastrophe for liberty, prosperity, limited-constitutional government and rationality itself.
But the culprit wasn’t an invisible pathogen—the so-called novel coronavirus. It was the nation’s arrogant, clueless politicians who had the audacity to think they should and could stop the spread; and who therefore capriciously wielded the fiscal, monetary and regulatory arms of the state to that end in a manner that has generated unprecedented social and economic mayhem and rampant public hysteria.
