Our theme is suspension of disbelief, and nowhere is that more evident than in the manner in which the case count has become a flashing neon indicator of crisis. No questions asked.

Yet anyone paying even half-assed attention can see that “cases” are a function of testing, not an accelerating spread of the virus; and also that standard PCR tests are a horrible measure of the disease anyway.
